Austin-based trio Shells formed in the summer of 2009 with the recruiting of bassist Michael Caviness and drummer Jack Smith by singer/songwriter/guitarist Ryan Lentell. They are a country and blues inspired rock band whose influences fall somewhere between Elvis Costello and Creedance Clearwater Revival. Playing virtually non-stop for a year and half has produced a band that is always well rehearsed and tight on arrangements. With the self-release of their debut full length set for late June 2011, Shells will be venturing out of their first east coast tour this summer. |
