TEG was founded in May 2006 by DJ/Journalist/Public Speaker Roy Turner in New York City. Roy began working in the music industry in 1996. After finishing a seven year run with Astralwerks Records, he decided that due to the ever changing climate that is this industry and no longer having faith in the previous business model, that he would use his experience and connections to start his own business. While at Astralwerks and a few other labels before that, Roy ran numerous publicity and marketing campaigns for artists such as:
